Close

Our workshops are staffed by long serving, fully qualified and Manufacturer trained technicians. Our teams have full access to the latest Factory tools and software, which only a Manufacturer backed main dealer can provide.

How much will it cost to service my car?

Close

The cost of servicing your vehicle depends on the model and the type of service you require. Contact us today for a quote.

How often should I service my car?

Close

Your vehicle should be serviced according to manufacturer recommendations, which can be found in your owner’s manual. Most cars should be serviced every year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. To check if your next service is due, contact your local Lings dealership today.

What is an MOT?

Close

An MOT is a test of the safety features of your vehicle. Once your car is three years old, it is a legal requirement that it undergoes an MOT each year. Our technicians will inspect elements such as lights, brakes and tyres during the test. MOTs typically take 60 minutes to complete.

What happens if my car fails its MOT?

Close

If your vehicle initially fails its MOT, we will contact you to let you know why. If the issue is a straightforward one, such as a light bulb replacement, we may be able to fix it and retest on the day – with your permission. Otherwise, a refusal of MOT certificate will be given and you will be required to book in repairs at a later date.

Do you service electric or hybrid vehicles?

Close

Yes, we service Hybrid and Electric Cars. Lings Motor Group have received Electric Car Approved (EVA) accreditation, from the NFDA. This recognises dealers excellence in the electric vehicle sector, including servicing. An electric car does need servicing at the same intervals as any car and like any car, an MOT will be needed after three years.

Do you provide courtesy cars?

Close

We’ll provide you with a courtesy car where possible. If a courtesy vehicle is essential, please contact our team prior to booking and state your request.

I have a service booked in. Can I bring my vehicle in the day before?

Close

You’re welcome to drop your car off at your chosen Service Centre the day before your booking, as long as you drop it off within our opening hours. Just pop in to let the Service Team know where you’ve parked it and to give us your keys.

Can you collect my vehicle?

Close

We offer collection and delivery, to your home or place of work. The service is available to customers that live within the collection and delivery service area and subject to availability. A collection and delivery charge will be added.
