Bonneville Build Off

Lings Norfolk Triumph have unveiled an iconic new custom bike, ‘Flat Bonnie’, as its entry into an exciting national dealer competition.

Public voting for the best bike in Triumph’s all-new Bonneville Build-Off Challenge for 2020 is now open and Norfolk Triumph is asking for the support of the community and fans to vote for their striking entry here.

The team has worked together to design, personalise and build their beautiful bespoke Bonneville T100 to perfection, entering themselves into the line-up of this year’s national competition alongside eight competitor dealerships. The bike will be on display at the dealership until 11 October.

Connor Bunkle, Motorcycle technician, explains, “We have created a completely unique look for this modern classic bike, using a combination of exceptional engineering skills and genuine Triumph accessories. Our close association with the off-road sector in Norfolk and the passion for classic Triumph Flat Tracker machines became the inspiration for the Norfolk Triumph Bonneville T100 custom design.”

The concept was to go minimalistic, yet create a grander stance. 19” wheels, single seat conversion, custom exhaust, extended gold front fork tubes and custom solid brake disc are complemented by Triumph 70’s gold with added green fleck custom paint mirroring a traditional Flat Tracker. Led by Jamie Curtis, Dealer Principal, supported by Gareth Jones, (paint) Connor Bunkle, (welding and electrical relocation) Ben Dixon and Ian Bye (parts & accessories)

Flat Bonnie... an ultra-cool classic that stands out from the crowd.

New for this year, fans of the iconic modern classics are now voting online on Triumph’s brand new dedicated Build-Off microsite. Dealer Principle, Jamie Curtis, comments, “We’re representing bikers and fans across east anglia, and would really value everyone’s support in helping our custom-built Bonneville to be crowned the winner this year. Voting closes at 9am on Wednesday 14 October.”

The build that receives the most votes via the build-off website will be crowned this year’s Bonneville Build-Off winner. Triumph is also bringing together four passionate and inspiring ambassadors to announce the winner of the public vote and present their own distinctive award.

  • George Clarke – Design Award
  • Victoria Pendleton – Inspiration Award
  • Jody Millhouse – Paint & Custom Award
  • Devron Boulton – Retail Choice Award

The winners will be revealed on the 28 October via Triumph UK’s social media channels.
