The KTM 85 SX features a compact 85 cc engine with a 6-speed gearbox, delivering class-leading power and rideability. The powervalve customizes power delivery for track conditions.
The lightweight 6-speed gearbox is designed to withstand tough conditions, with gear ratios matching the engine characteristics. It uses a secure front sprocket attachment and a "no-dirt" gear shifter.
The 2024 KTM 85 SX has an ultra-durable clutch with a FORMULA hydraulic system, ensuring consistent clutch engagement under all conditions.
The bike is equipped with a 38 mm flat slide MIKUNI TMX carburetor, providing smooth and controllable power throughout the rev range, regardless of altitude and temperature.
The exhaust system is designed to match the engine's power characteristics. It uses a high-quality production process and a lightweight silencer with improved packing wool to meet noise limits for racing.
The KTM 85 SX features a scaled-down frame based on championship-winning full-size frames. It's made from hydroformed steel tubes, robot-welded for precision, consistent quality, and flex characteristics.
The KTM 85 SX uses WP XACT front fork technology with AER design, featuring a split fork with an air spring in one leg and oil damping in the other. It has simple preload adjustment and easy access to compression and rebound clickers.
Stopping power comes from the Formula brake system with radial calipers (four pistons in front, two in the rear) and lightweight Wave brake discs. It offers controlled action and powerful braking.
The KTM 85 SX has self-cleaning "no-dirt" footpegs, ensuring they maintain their position for complete control in all conditions.
