The 2024 KTM SX range offers tool-free suspension setup at both ends. The shock absorbers feature hand-adjustable dual compression control for quick high- and low-speed settings. The front forks have a single air pressure preload valve and easy-access click adjusters for compression and rebound. An air pump is included.
In the 2-stroke KTM SX range, electronic fuel injection replaces traditional pre-mixing, eliminating complex jetting setups before races. Keihin EFI and reed valve case design ensure consistent power delivery at any altitude.
Alongside electronic fuel injection, the KTM 250 SX is equipped with a Power Valve, providing smoother and more usable power throughout the rev range, resulting in improved traction and holeshot performance.
The KTM 250 SX combines outstanding power and lightweight construction, boasting 53 hp and an overall engine weight of just 23.9 kg in 2024. It sets the benchmark in the competitive 250 cc class.
The 2024 KTM 250 SX includes a map select switch with two engine maps. Map 1 offers a linear, predictable power delivery, while Map 2 delivers aggressive, explosive power output.
The 2024 KTM SX models ensure unwavering control on challenging tracks through a frame design engineered for both longitudinal rigidity and centralizing rotating mass near the center of gravity. This design also improves anti-squat behavior for better corner traction. The footpeg placement is adjusted inward to reduce the risk of snagging in deep ruts and during jumps.
The 2024 KTM SX and SX-F range enhances rider comfort and control with a well-balanced rider triangle for improved knee contact, especially when standing on the pegs. The bike's plastics facilitate mud expulsion in wet conditions, while a flatter seat profile and high-grip seat cover allow exceptional rider mobility. A polyamide reinforced aluminum subframe further enhances rider feedback.
The 2024 KTM 250 SX engine is designed with a significant focus on mass centralization, ensuring that rotating mass is strategically centralized for optimal operation within the chassis. This results in a lighter, more agile handling experience, setting it apart from the competition.
Equipped with a 48mm air-type WP XACT front fork featuring a split damping function, it instills confidence for tackling the track. The fork includes hydrostops to improve bottoming-out resistance and reduce rebound during jumps and bumps. Redesigned fork protection rings enhance dirt protection and reliability.
The 2024 KTM 250 SX boasts rock-solid stability at any speed due to a repositioned and forged steering head connection and CNC milled triple clamps made from high-grade aluminum. These components ensure optimal steering stem stiffness, precise fork tube alignment, and geometry of the fork clamps, resulting in highly responsive and smooth fork action, along with unwavering stability on rough terrain.
