Vialle Reclaims 250SX East Red Plate, Sexton Earns Podium in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing delivered a strong performance at the Indianapolis round of the AMA Supercross Championship, with Tom Vialle reclaiming the 250SX East series red plate and Chase Sexton securing a valuable podium finish in the 450SX class.

The highly anticipated 250SX East/West Showdown saw defending Eastern Division Champion, Tom Vialle, deliver a measured and consistent ride. Despite a challenging and deteriorated track, the French rider secured a commendable second-place finish aboard his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. This result propelled him back to the top of the 250SX East point standings, marking a significant milestone in his championship campaign.

"Overall, today was a pretty good day," Vialle commented. "The track was very tricky tonight, so I am pretty happy with second and we're right in the championship, which is where we want to be."

Adding to KTM's success in the 250SX class, Julien Beaumer, despite nursing a shoulder injury, showcased his resilience by finishing eighth in the Showdown. This result allowed him to maintain his second-place position in the 250SX West standings, keeping him firmly in title contention.

In the premier 450SX class, Chase Sexton continued his strong form, securing a third-place podium finish. After a dominant heat race win, Sexton battled at the front of the pack in the main event. A late-race mishap briefly hampered his progress, but he quickly regained his rhythm to claim a well-deserved podium spot. This result solidifies his second-place position in the 450SX Championship standings.

"Back on the podium and tonight was good early on, with the Heat Race win," Sexton stated. "It's unfortunate, but it's racing. Now we have a week off to regroup and come out in Birmingham strong."

Aaron Plessinger also delivered a noteworthy performance, finishing fifth in the 450SX main event. Despite a fall during the race, Plessinger demonstrated his determination and skill, charging back through the field to secure a valuable top-five finish.

"That was a really, really good ride," Plessinger said. "The bike’s feeling awesome and a fifth place on this type of night where I hit the ground, I cannot be mad at that."

The Indianapolis round showcased the strength and consistency of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. With Vialle leading the 250SX East standings and Sexton firmly in contention for the 450SX title, the team heads into the upcoming break with significant momentum.

The next round of the AMA Supercross Championship will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 22nd, where KTM riders will look to continue their impressive season.
