Binder and Acosta to Spearhead Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2025 MotoGP Season

Potchefstroom, South Africa – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing is set to ignite the 2025 MotoGP season with a formidable pairing: Brad Binder (29, South Africa) and rising star Pedro Acosta (20, Spain). Binder, a seasoned veteran with 17 Grand Prix wins (including 2 in MotoGP), enters his sixth season in the premier class, boasting consistent top-six finishes in recent years. Acosta, the youngest rider on the grid, joins the factory team after an impressive rookie year where he secured 6th in the championship standings and five podiums.  

The duo, both products of the Red Bull KTM GP Academy, will pilot the KTM RC16 across 22 rounds in 18 countries. Their combined experience and raw talent make them a force to be reckoned with.


Red Bull KTM Tech3 Welcomes Bastianini and Viñales

Red Bull KTM Tech3 is bolstering its ranks with the addition of Enea Bastianini (27, Italy) and Maverick Viñales (30, Spain).Bastianini, a proven race winner with 13 Grand Prix victories (7 in MotoGP), finished 4th in the 2024 championship. Viñales, a veteran with 26 wins (10 in MotoGP), brings a wealth of experience from competing with three different manufacturers in the premier class.

This powerful quartet gives KTM a formidable presence on the grid, with all four riders finishing within the top seven in the 2024 championship.


Riders Ready to Race

Binder is confident heading into the new season: “2024 was a year of immense learning. I feel like a much better rider now. My goal is to fight at the front consistently.”

Acosta is eager to build on his rookie success: “We have some unfinished business. Improving qualifying and race starts will be key this year.”

Bastianini is excited about the potential of the KTM RC16: "The bike's potential is impressive. I'm confident we can be competitive quickly."

Viñales feels at home on the KTM: "It's a beast! The RC16 suits my riding style, and I'm eager to push it to the limit."

Pre-Season Testing Underway

The teams are currently participating in pre-season testing at the Sepang International Circuit. The official 2025 MotoGP launch will take place in Bangkok on February 9th, followed by further testing at the Buriram International Circuit. The season kicks off with the Thai Grand Prix on February 28th.
