STYLE

2024 Bodywork: The redesigned bodywork, all in red, offers enhanced ergonomics and control. With larger contact surfaces and an improved rider triangle, it ensures a comfortable and confident ride. The rad shrouds are designed for better grip during acceleration, while the super grippy seat cover keeps riders securely positioned.

Handlebars: Neken handlebars, mounted on redesigned bar mounts for reduced twisting impact, provide a comfortable hold. Lock-on style ODI grips with a medium compound offer a cozy setup catering to various riders.

Airbox: Simplify maintenance and maximize riding time with the no-tools, user-friendly filter mounting system. The airbox features strategically positioned inlet ducts that direct air towards the Twin Air filter, enhancing horsepower.

Fuel Tank: The new fuel tank boasts a larger capacity while maintaining a sleek profile. An integrated fuel pump extends ride times by allowing the tank to be emptied further before refueling, making it ideal for longer sand track sessions.

Footpegs: Larger footpegs enhance control, featuring a spacious platform. Their repositioning further inward on the frame reduces the risk of catching on deep ruts and obstacles, improving overall ride experience.

HANDLING

Frame: A new generation demands a new frame. Building on the old frame's strengths, such as razor-sharp cornering and stable straight-line stability, our engineers have elevated it further. Enhanced anti-squat behavior boosts traction when exiting corners. Wall thickness adjustments throughout the frame improve rider feedback and energy absorption. A red powder coating and grippy guards not only prevent wear but also provide added boot traction.

Subframe: The all-aluminium subframe is lightweight and robust, harmonizing with the frame to centralize mass and significantly enhance the bike's exceptional handling.

Forged Triple Clamps: Revamped forged aluminum triple clamps with calculated flex, due to a revised steering stem, ensure optimal handling. These clamps align fork tubes perfectly, improving front wheel feedback and ensuring consistent handling across terrains. Adjustable bar mounts with an increased contact area reduce the risk of handlebar twisting in case of a crash. A glass bead blasted finish maintains their appearance.

WP Forks: Upgraded 48mm WP XACT forks grace all full-size GASGAS motocross models for 2024. External hand adjustments are easy, while internal revised settings complement the new frame. Encapsulated air spring and pressurized oil chamber maintain progressive fork action. A new hydrostop minimizes landing impacts and sustains forward momentum.

WP Shock: The new WP XACT rear shock is shorter and lighter yet retains 300mm travel. Technical enhancements include a new piston for initial comfort and improved stroke performance during intense acceleration. Like the WP forks, hand-adjustable settings provide quick and convenient tuning.

Swingarm: Cast from a single aluminum piece, the lighter and slightly stiffer new swingarm is a pinnacle of design. Enhanced durability of the chain slider and a rounded guide prevent ground contact during rough rides. A 22mm rear wheel axle complements refined chassis flex. Clear chain adjustment markings ensure swift and straightforward maintenance.

MOTOR

EFI Advancement: Enhanced Performance, Minimal Vibration. The upgraded MC 250 motor, now featuring fuel injection, sets this bike apart. Whether you prefer short shifting or high-rev riding, the engine delivers impressive torque at low RPMs and potent peak power at higher RPMs. The addition of a counter balancer shaft effectively minimizes vibrations, especially benefiting those who ride aggressively.

CYLINDER & PISTON Evolution - MC 250: A significant shift for 2024 involves EFI on the MC 250. This introduces an innovative electronic exhaust control system, replacing the conventional 2-stroke power valve. Now, lateral exhaust ports open slightly ahead of the main port, providing potent power and reliability.

Transmission Upgrades: A redesigned shift shaft drum and fork enhance gear shifting's fluidity. With PANKL Racing Systems manufacturing, the 5-speed transmission guarantees exceptional gear changes, reliability, and quality. Its smart lever design combats dirt accumulation, particularly in challenging conditions.

CRankshaft Innovation: The engine's core, the crankshaft, is lightweight, enabling quick rev-building. Its meticulous balance minimizes vibration, strategically positioned for minimal impact on overall handling.

Crankcase Optimization: To maintain the MC 250's agility, thin yet sturdy crankcases are forged through high-pressure die-casting. Internally, optimal mass centralization enhances rideability.

Exhaust System Excellence: Slim and FIM sound regulation-compliant, the exhaust system excels in performance. The header pipe's design prioritizes ground clearance, connecting to a muffler with noise-reducing construction that preserves power.

DS Clutch Performance: The MC 250 employs a robust and reliable Diaphragm Steel (DS) clutch, contributing to the compact engine design. Inside the CNC-machined steel clutch basket is a single diaphragm steel pressure plate, replacing traditional coil springs for longevity and efficiency.

PARTS

Enhanced Braking System: GASGAS motocross bikes feature top-notch Braktec calipers and controls, ensuring reliable stopping power. Equipped with GASGAS-specific design, the 260mm front and 220mm rear disks inspire confidence, encouraging riders to push boundaries and brake later, facilitated by the redesigned lever.

Hydraulic Clutch: Braktec's hydraulic clutch requires minimal adjustment and upkeep. Its standout feature is consistent performance, with automatic free-play adjustment at the revamped lever. This maintains a reliable clutch bite and operation, whether cold-starting or in the heat of competition.

Radiators: Robust aluminum radiators cool the engine efficiently, guided by a central tube within the frame. This innovative design minimizes hoses, ensuring steady coolant flow for optimal temperature management during demanding rides.

Wheels: GASGAS wheels are engineered to endure tough conditions. CNC-machined hubs, lightweight spokes, and sturdy EXCEL rims deliver unmatched strength, offering riders peace of mind when tackling rough tracks and heavy landings.

Tires: The Maxxis MaxxCross MX-ST tires remain from the previous generation for a reason. Renowned for versatile terrain performance and impressive durability, these tires minimize the need for frequent replacements, saving time and hassle.

ELECTRONICS

Engine Management System (EMS): Utilizing cutting-edge Vitesco Technologies components, GASGAS employs a swift, compact EMS that includes a rollover sensor for ignition cutoff during significant crashes. This system also communicates crucial data to the hour meter.

Efficient Throttle Body: The MC 250 integrates a 39mm Keihin throttle body, optimizing fuel mixture flow into the combustion chamber. Its direct cable mounting guarantees immediate throttle response, enhancing rider control.

Customizable Power Delivery: The Map Select Switch empowers MC 250 riders to tailor power delivery. A simple button press on the handlebars toggles between two maps. For diverse track conditions, riders can opt for standard map 1 for hardpack surfaces or engage map 2 for sand or muddy tracks.

Convenient Starting: The introduction of an electric starter marks a significant convenience upgrade. With the start button also serving as the engine stop button, space on the handlebars is conserved. The Li-Ion battery not only trims weight but maintains easy electric starting while keeping overall bike weight minimal. A victory for practicality and performance!
