One of the Rarest New Vehicles on the road arrives at Lings Mitsubishi

Lings Mitsubishi in Lowestoft is offering motorists the chance to own one of the most exclusive new vehicles available, with the launch of the Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP.

Only 250 of the striking pick-up will be made — half finished in Cosmos Black and the other half in Electric Blue metallic — and our dealership in Lowestoft has secured a number for its customers.

The first vehicle to be produced by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s new SVP (Special Vehicle Projects) programme, the 2.4-litre turbodiesel-powered pick-up truck is based on the successful Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian. Its aggressive appearance is influenced by the manufacturer’s one-off Mitsubishi L200 Desert Warrior ‘Pre-runner’ that has been built in conjunction with Top Gear magazine.

Most noticeable are the additions of 17-inch bespoke black alloy wheels with BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, new wheel arch extensions, and an exclusive black finish for many of the exterior details. There’s also shark fin-inspired side steps, load bed illumination, puddle lamps, soft-opening tailgate damper and an SVP emblem on the tailgate.

Inside, there are ‘six-pack’ leather seats with suede-like ‘Alston’ inserts, with each vehicle’s individual limited edition number and the SVP logo stitched into the headrests.

Daniel Lake, General Manager at Lings Mitsubishi, said: "The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP is one of the rarest and most eye-catching vehicles we’ve ever offered. It looks and drives fantastic, and we invite anyone who’s interested to call us as soon as possible – we have a very limited number available and we expect them to be very popular.”

The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP is priced from £28,479 (excluding VAT) for both blue and black versions. For more details, visit Lings Mitsubishi, Riverside Road, Lowestoft NR33 0TQ or call the team on 01502 537444
